Chicago, Illinois (October 3, 2012) – At Labelexpo’s laser die cutting workshop SEI Laser’s Label Master label finishing machine ran the fastest speeds, produced the most complicated labels and demonstrated the best laser die cutting performance of all 4 competitors.
The Laser die cutting workshop featured the 4 leading suppliers of laser die cutting systems for label converting. Labelexpo specified 3 labels that all the vendors had to produce. The forth job was free-style, each vendor could choose what to produce. On one job SEI’s Label Master laser die cutting system die cut and numbered labels at 65 m/min (213 fpm) at least 30% faster than any other competitor. On the free-style job SEI’s Label Master took a pre-printed label, applied hot foil, spot varnish, laser engraved numbers die cut the labels, then slit the web in to three streams delivering completed rolls of 500 labels each using a semi-automatic turret rewind.
